Classes & WorkshopsMom's & Kids Cardio Strength Training: A mix of cardio and resistance training focusing on strengthening & toning. A fun, dynamic group workout for women of all ages & abilities. Kids are welcome, toys provided (though no childcare available on site, each mom is responsible for the little ones she brings).
Outside Cardio Blast This class focuses on toning muscles and getting your heart rate up for some good ol' calorie burning, and we always focus some attention on strengthening your core muscles. Women of all ages & abilities are welcome.
Cardio Core This is a quick (30 minute), fast-paced class aimed at getting your heart rate up and toning your abdominal muscles. This class is safe for women with an abdominal separation, and we focus on innovative, fun moves to flatten your belly- don't expect to do a crunch!
Women's 5k Running Program An 8 week running training program geared towards preparing you for your first 5k race, or helping you achieve a personal record in this distance. Two group runs a week and ongoing and unlimited coaching support.
Prenatal Strength & Stretch Series: This six week series focuses on strengthening your body to maintain a healthy, comfortable pregnancy, and helping to prepare you for a quick recovery postpartum. At Breathing Light in downtown Montpelier, www.breathinglight.org.
Postpartum Fitness & Wellness A ten week series focusing on postpartum health through pilates, strength training and safe and effective abdominal strengthening. You’ll get a jumpstart on your postpartum exercise routine, with careful attention to body parts that were affected by pregnancy, such as abdominals, pelvic floor, back and shoulders. Co-taught with Pilates and Group Fitness instructor Britt Richardson, at Breathing Light, www.breathinglight.org.
Beautiful Bellies: A workshop focusing on exercises to help women with diastasis recti appropriately and safely tone their beautiful postpartum bellies. Diastasis recti is a separation of the outermost abdominal muscles that can occur during or after pregnancy, and it can be the cause of a bulging belly that doesn’t go away. You will learn how to check for diastasis recti, what exercises to do, and which exercises to avoid. |
